Shrenu Parikh is an Indian television actress known for portraying Gauri Kumari Sharma in Ishqbaaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi and Janhvi Mittal in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna.

Early life[edit]

Parikh hails from a Gujarati family of Vadodara, Gujarat.[1][2] She did her schooling from Navrachna Vidyani Vidyalaya located in Vadodara. She was crowned Miss University in 2007, and was the second runner-up in the Miss Vadodara Competition in 2008.[3]

Career[edit]

Parikh began her television career with a cameo appearance as Roopa in Star Plus's Gulaal. She then appeared alongside Narendra Jha and Kunal Verma in Colors TV's Havan, portraying Aastha.

In 2012, she played Rajni Vaishnav, an epiquitte woman, in Sony TV's romantic comedy Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka, co-starring Gaurav Khanna and Prateeksha Lonkar.

Parikh's breakthrough came in 2013 when she featured in Star Plus's romantic drama Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?..Ek Baar Phir, opposite Avinash Sachdev. Her portrayal was of Aastha Kirloskar, a middle-class and free-mind girl. Her performance and pairing with Sachdev, was appreciated.

From 2017 to 2018, Parikh played Gauri Kumari Sharma in Star Plus's Ishqbaaaz opposite Kunal Jaisingh. Parikh also appeared in the show's spin-off series, titled Dil Boley Oberoi with Jaisingh.

Since April 2019, she has been portraying Janhvi Mittal in Star Plus's Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna which co stars Zain Imam.

Sakshi Tanwar (born 12 January 1973)[2] is an Indian actress and television presenter. She is known for her work in the television soapsKahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. In 2016, she starred in the Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal.

Early life[edit]

Tanwar was born on 12 January 1973 to Rajendra Singh Tanwar, a retired CBI officer, in a middle-class family from Alwar, Rajasthan, India. She was educated in many Kendriya Vidyalayas before graduating from Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi. Prior to this, in 1990, after completing her pre-university course, she worked as a sales trainee at a five-star hotel.[3] In college, she was the secretary and president of the dramatic society.[2] After graduation, while preparing for the entrance tests to the administrative services and mass communications, she gave an audition for the national broadcaster Doordarshan's film songs based program Albela Sur Mela in 1998; she was selected as the presenter.

After her television debut in 1998 with Albela Sur Mela, Tanwar gained fame for her role of Parvati Agarwal in the soap opera, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.[4] Between 2011 and 2014, she played Priya Kapoor, opposite Ram Kapoor, in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.[5]

In December 2012, she made an appearance in Kaun Banega Crorepati.[6]

In the 2016 film Dangal, Tanwar played Daya Kaur, wife of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir Khan), who trains his daughters to be world-class wrestlers against social odds.[7]

Sakshi Tanwar is coming back with new season of Tyohaar Ki Thaali and it will air on Epic channel starting 26 February 2018.[8]

In 2018, Sakshi became a single mother when she adopted a nine month old baby girl, Dityaa Tanwar.[9]
